Virtual Mobility Training – Day II

On the second day of the Mobility Training, Sarajevo School of Science and Technology Academic Staff were introduced to new research horizons and the power of interdisciplinary and networking. #EDIRE Advisory Member, Prof. Dr Mirsada Hukić presented her very inspiring and motivational story as the only woman who discovered rare viruses catching mouses. She is the member of The #European#Academy of Science as well as BIH Academy of Science and Arts. The Prof. Hukic emphasized mobilities as a focal point to be a good researcher, who will strengthen the institution/university in all aspects. She empowered all SSST Academic Staff to be more connected, especially with the EDIRE partners and make connections for both benefits.

We were honored of SSST Chancellor’s presence, Prof. Ejup Ganić, who presents his life-research retrospective story and explained what inspired him to establish #SSST#University as the institution that will create a better society. He focused on the research tools and aims as the main generators of helping society in all aspects. “The world we live in gives us many opportunities and connections and only through mobilities, visits and creation of projects we can say that we change the world”; concluded Prof. Ganić.

Before the workshop, EDIRE team hosted Jasna Bošnjović, Head of the #International Relations Office University of Sarajevo. She presented the activities that University of Sarajevo has been participating in, but also gave some inputs to strengthen international relations structure of SSST.
