Virtual Mobility Training – day I

Virtual Mobility Training for @universityssst Academic Staff held on the #Olympic mountain #Igman 🏔️

Our first day agenda was very busy, but packed with quite useful upcoming mobility and research enhancement opportunities. Project coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr Jasminka Hasić Telalović welcomed the participants, introduced guests and partners and went through the day’a agenda.

Our #EDIRE partners prepared various interdisciplinary oriented presentations

With kicked if off with presentation from University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, from #France 🇫🇷 & learnt more info on the University and its primary research focuses
👉🏻 for those more focused to biomaterials and inflammation bone sites, Sophie Gangloff presented possible opportunities and examples of cooperation
👉🏻 on #HPC and Computer Graphics #SSST Academic Staff learnt more from Luis Angelo Steffenel
👉🏻 from Zahia Guessoum we got more information on opportunities for research enhancement on #IOT, #AI and applications.

EDIRE Partner from @unigenova from #Italy 🇮🇹 presented following topics:
1️⃣ Valeria Lobbi – “Phytochemistry Lab, University of Genova: Boys and girls in research”,
2️⃣ Gianni Vercelli and Saverio Iacono – “Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality & Gamification”, and
3️⃣ Giorgia Profumo – “Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Respect in Business and Management Higher Education Institutions”

After a short coffee break ☕️ we continued to meet our partners and listen about potential mobility opportunities.

@tudublin 🇮🇪 presented the main mobility opportunities related to:
👉🏻 #gender and politics/social science, hosted by RINCE Centre, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary HE funded research, and
👉🏻 computer science with a focus on #AI and #DataScience, hosted by School of Computer Science.

On behalf of @uni.complutense, from #Spain 🇪🇸, prof. Juan Pavon presented opportunities of the GRASIA research group and the Institute of Knowledge Technology. His main interest focus areas are on the application of #ArtificialIntelligence in multidisciplinary projects with social value, such as assistive technologies, health monitoring, ambient assisted living, smart cities, education, computational creativity, and tools to support Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI).

The last task on our agenda has been marked by presentation of the Office for Research and Project Administration (ORPA). Edis Arifagić, Head of this Unit introduced the audience to the ongoing activities at SSST and upcoming projects applications.

ORPA was created as part of the EDIRE project, as a new unit to the University, with the aim to enable faster, easier and more efficient reach of research funds, increasing the number of exchanges and international cooperation agreements, but also strengthening the research structure of the SSST.
