On December 5th, during the CS460 Artificial Intelligence course taught by Professor Jasminka Hasić, SSST’s fourth-year students Lejla Ahmetović and Amna Mandžo, presented their undergraduate thesis topics. Both of their topics are based on Artificial Intelligence algorithms but in addition, have interesting applications. Amna’s solution is taking the challenge of transforming the care economy that women are strongly impacted by. Lejla’s solution is in the domain of #FemTech and it is bridging the gender gap in women’s health information.
This is an example of incorporating gender in the curriculum, while at the same time being aware of using #EDI components (equality, diversity, and inclusion).
Staying informed, educated, and gender-sensitive helps us to prevent all aspects of violence against women and girls.
