Project Coordinator Jasminka Hasić Telalović participated in the celebration of International Education Day at Homework HUB, the first university hub in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event took the form of a roundtable discussion titled “Quo Vadis, Academia?”
Panel participants included representatives from primary and secondary education, the Minister for Higher Education, Science, and Youth of the Sarajevo Canton, Adna Mesihović, as well as students and representatives from the Novo Sarajevo Municipality.
During the two-hour discussion, Prof. Jasminka informed all attendees about the EDIRE project and emphasized the importance of applying Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles in all spheres of education. EDI principles serve as a solid foundation for appropriate education reform and the creation of a new space to provide opportunities for everyone.
The panel concluded with 10 common conclusions, one of which was the adoption of EDI principles into educational curricula.
