As part of the EDIRE project’s mission to enhance equality, diversity, and inclusion in research, the University SSST recently hosted an informative session focused on capacity building through the Erasmus Jean Monnet program. This session aimed to support the development of research and teaching capacities within SSST, providing faculty with valuable insights into externally funded project opportunities.

The session featured two seasoned Jean Monnet project implementers: Prof. Maja Savić-Bojanić, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, and Prof. Semira Galijašević, Coordinator of the Pharmacy Program at SSST. Both experts shared their extensive experience, offering guidance on the application process and practical tips for successful project application as well as the implementation.
Key topics covered during the session included:
- An overview of the Erasmus Jean Monnet program and its application process
- Aligning project proposals with EU standards and regulations
- Building effective project teams and partnerships
- Preparation of budget proposals and understanding financing priorities for 2025
- Common mistakes to avoid during the application process
Additionally, several participants presented their project ideas, which were discussed in detail, with constructive feedback provided. A follow-up session is planned, where these ideas will be further refined and updated based on the feedback received.
