In this seminar, Prof Yvonne Galligan, EDI director at TU Dublin, will draw on her extensive experience as an EDI leader in academic institutions to share some insights on the following topics:
· The importance of leadership in supporting institutional EDI efforts towards structural change
· Leadership styles: What makes a good and effective leader for EDI? Key skills
· How to build leadership for EDI within an institution? Key tools
· How do leaders overcome obstacles and resistances to EDI? Some examples
This will be an interactive session, with a Q&A session. It is also intended to provide a space for mutual learning, where participants can share their own insights and experiences. All welcomed!
