Short description:
This course will present and discuss guidelines for applying for research grants and fundraising for research topics, with a particular focus on the European Framework Programme Horizon Europe. Participants are encouraged to actively engage in concrete exercises: part of the class is dedicated to participatory activities.
Learning Outcomes: Special emphasis will be placed on the development of project proposals. Use cases of successful research grants coordinated by the teacher will be studied and analysed.

About the lecturer:
Cinzia Leone, the linguist, got her Ph.D. in Spain in Sociology, Social Changes in Contemporary Society. She had the opportunity to coordinate a number of the EU Horizon 2020 Projects on gender. She has a long experience in research, innovation, and technology transfer since FP5 and continued her studies and research towards Linguistics, Literature, Sociology, History, and Political Science, with a particular attention to inequalities, democracy mechanisms, national socialism, anti-Semitism, Hitlerian era. She taught different courses at the University of Madrid about gender, inequalities, and mediation. During the last few years, she has been organizing a number of international workshops on the theme of gender, intersectionality, and inequality.
