On December 4th and 5th, 2024, the University SSST, as the coordinator of the EDIRE project, hosted an inspiring two-day meeting of the Gender Equality Advisory Board in Tarcin, near Sarajevo. This collaborative gathering marked an important step forward in the University’s ongoing commitment to embedding Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) into every aspect of academic and professional life. The focus of the meeting was to finalize key components of the Gender Equality Plan (GEP) and ensure that EDI principles remain central to the University’s vision of creating a fair, inclusive, and innovative environment.
The discussions at the Gender Equality Advisory Board meeting were just one part of a broader, ongoing effort to make EDI an integral part of the University SSST’s culture. With a strong emphasis on transparency, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, the University SSST is dedicated to creating an environment where all staff and students can thrive. The actions outlined during this meeting are laying the foundation for a more diverse, innovative, and forward-thinking academic community, where everyone’s potential is recognized and celebrated.
As the coordinator of the EDIRE project, the University SSST remains excited about the opportunities for meaningful change. The commitment to EDI principles will help build a university environment that is not only inclusive but also empowering for everyone—ensuring that all voices are heard, respected, and valued as the university community continues to grow together.
