During the two days of having meetings and associating at the Monti Hotel on Igman, it was truly an unforgettable experience. On the first day of arrival, the presentations of the partner universities were held, where we had the opportunity to see what they do and see if we have common areas of interest. It was really interesting to hear the presentations, especially since everything, although well organized, seemed spontaneous with a coffee break. I wrote theses of possible collaboration and networking, which I hope we will achieve in the future, because the first step has already been taken, which is that contact has been made. The presentation on equality, diversity and inclusion of women in research reminded us why we were there and in what way we need to go to contribute to the progress of science in that segment. We socialized over dinner, and continued to do it so in the SPA, which we called a mini team building.
During the second day, we had the opportunity to listen to academician Professor Mirsada Hukić and academician Professor Ejup Ganić and their career paths. Through an informal conversation, I connected with Professor Hukić through social networks, because we had some common points about the research she was engaged in, which is really the whole point of such meetings. Everything ended with laughter, good memories and an intention to organize something similar in the foreseeable future. (Sana Čamo)
I’m thrilled to share insights from the Virtual Mobility Training hosted for @universityssst Academic Staff on the picturesque #Olympic mountain #Igman.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jasminka Hasić Telalović set the tone, welcoming participants, introducing guests, and expertly guiding us through the engaging sessions.
#EDIRE partner institutions showcased their commitment, highlighting the significance of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) through captivating interdisciplinary presentations.
SSST founder, Prof. Dr. Ejup Ganić, shared his life-research retrospective, unveiling a visionary commitment to shaping a better society. Emphasizing research tools as catalysts for change, he concluded, “Only through mobilities, visits, and projects can we truly change the world.”
The entire experience was enriching and inspiring. The virtual platform didn’t hinder the vibrant exchange of ideas and the sense of collective purpose. I’m genuinely excited about the positive impact that this knowledge-sharing initiative can bring to our academic community.
Looking forward to more empowering experiences! (Lejla Čiva)
