EDIRE at the INSPIRE Project’s Next Steps CoP: Advancing Equality and Sharing Best Practices

As part of the Next Steps Community of Practice (CoP), established for the call ofs the INSPIRE project, the EDIRE coordinator recently had the opportunity to present the ongoing work at SSST, much of which has been driven by the activities of the EDIRE project itself. INSPIRE, which focuses on developing innovative tools and knowledge to address intersecting inequalities across both the public and private sectors in Europe, is a key initiative in the broader push for equality and inclusion.

The meeting brought together a diverse and impressive group of experts in gender equality and various aspects of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Institutions represented included:

  • Lund University, Sweden
  • University of Rijeka, Croatia
  • Kadir Has University, Turkey
  • CERN, Switzerland
  • Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel
  • University of Zurich, Switzerland

During the meeting, participants shared valuable insights, best practices, and experiences from their respective institutions. The discussions were rich and dynamic, reflecting the collective commitment to advancing EDI initiatives in both academic and institutional settings.

The exchange of ideas and strategies will play a key role in shaping future EDI-based activities at SSST, helping to ensure the continued growth and development of inclusive practices in our community and beyond.

We look forward to building on this collaborative momentum and utilizing the lessons learned to further enhance the impact of our work within the EDIRE project and in the wider EDI field.
